       My name is Jessica Mazur. I prefer Jess because it is just less formal. I am a sophomore here at IUP and I really love it here. The campus is a perfect size and it is just far enough away from home. I live in Johnstown, PA. It is a very boring town but I grew up there so I suppose it is not so bad. I am currently undecided technically for my major but I am applying for the nursing program in December. I have basically been taking courses as if I am in the nursing program already so that I can stay caught up with everyone as much as possible so hopefully I will be accepted!

      When I was in high school I played volleyball in the fall and loved it! I had a great team and we all worked very hard. I considered continuing to play here at IUP but I never made it to try-outs. I also danced since the age of 2. I took ballet up until my senior year of high school, jazz, and modern. I also participated in a modern group called repertoire at our studio that put on a performance every winter. My junior year I actually choreographed a piece, or dance, for the show. I love to dance and am looking for a studio here in Indiana to join.

      I’m looking forward to what I can possibly take from this course this semester. I am not the best writer but I try so eventhough it is going to be tough I hope that in the end it will be worth it. That is about all I can think about to say about myself so if there is anything not on here that someone would like to know you can always ask!
